About Bronzesmith

bronzesmith

Bronzesmith was founded on the belief that there is a need for high quality sculpture in the Western Art market and room to improve the techniques necessary to achieve that goal.

Because the process is so fascinating, Bronzesmith had the vision to also include a gallery on the premises and schedule tours of the facility to educate art collectors.

Brothers, Ed and Billy Reilly started the journey to achieve this goal in a small garage in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Ed’s previous acquaintance with Cowboy Artist, Joe Beeler was the catalyst to start bronze casting on a professional level.

After several years in business at locations in Sedona and Flagstaff, the decision was made to purchase property in Prescott Valley, Arizona and made it our permanent home.  Ed’s marriage to a local restaurateur, Kathy Murphy, who loves the area, helped with relocating.

Bronzesmith Entry

The design of the building reflects the original concept and is custom made for bronze sculpture casting.  Several years later the gallery opened, a new façade was erected and a sculpture garden enhanced the property.

Today, Bronzesmith is casting high quality bronze sculpture for many of today’s leading artists and touring collectors on a regular basis.

Bronzesmith has cast a number of monumental sculptures including Joe Beeler's "Thanks for the Rain" located at Desert Caballeros Museum in Wickenburg, AZ.  Oreland Joe's first monumental sculpture with Bronzesmith was  the 22 foot "Chief Standing Bear": located in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  He was also commissioned to sculpt "First Council" based on a historic meeting between Lewis & Clark and members of the Oto Indian tribe.  The Navajo Code Talker Memorial Foundation commissioned the "Navajo Code Talker" monument which is installed at Window Rock, Arizona.

The Town of Paradise Valley commissioned Beeler to create a life-and-a-half size memorial status of U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater which was dedicated in February 2004.

We are members of Southwest American Indian Arts, Phippen Museum, Smoki Museum, Sharlot Hall Museum, Museum of Northern Arizona and Institute of American Indian Arts Museum.  We are also members of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce.
