Kathleen Wall
Creating her first storyteller when she was eight,
Kathleen is descended from a long line of cermaic artists. From her
grandmother, Cari Loretto of Jemez Pueblo, who taught six
daughters, to mother Fannie, who taught her in turn, Kathleen has
supported herself as a working artist from the age of seventeen.
After high school, she went on to receive formal training at the
Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe and currently has a
studio at Jemez Pueblo. In addition to her clay work, Kathleen is
now creating bronze sculptures to add to her ever expanding
collection.
Kathleen was the frist place recipient for her bronze
sculpture" Blessed Gifts" at the 2011 Heard Musuem show.
