Robert Brubaker
Robert Brubaker, a Cornville, Arizona artist received a BFA from
Illinois Wesleyan University in 1974, went on for two years of
graduate studies in ceramic arts at Illinois State
University.
Considered a narrative artist, he has been sculpting
anthropomorphic characters in stoneware clay since 1979. The first
public exhibition of this series, was in Sacramento, California in
1980. Having moved to the southwest in 1987, Robert was fortunate
to be represented by the premier galleries of the time, Elaine
Horwitch and Suzanne Brown.
A long and rewarding relationship with the Phoenix Sky Harbor
Airport Art Program, has proved to be an international venue for
this artist's work.
Recently Bob has started having molds pulled of some ceramic
originals and casting numbered editions in bronze
